Pastor Payton was born on June 11th to Christian parents, Bishop Leroy and First Lady Minnie Payton, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Bishop Dr. Leroy Payton was her pastor for over 50 years. In July 1975, Pastor Payton placed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for her soul’s salvation. During a church revival at Huggins' Memorial Bible Church of God, Pastor Payton surrendered her life to the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon graduation from high school, she enrolled at Methodist College. After undergraduate and graduate degrees from Fayetteville State University and Victory Bible Institute, Dr. Payton continued to minister in various ministry roles as keyboardist, worship leader, Worship Pastor, senior Pastor, and laymember over the years. Pastor Payton has spent the past two years as senior pastor of Christian Victory Center in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
